What's Inside a Storage Tank Kit

• The RO System: A commercial-grade reverse osmosis unit with built-in prefiltration to extend the life of the membranes.
• Water Storage Tank: An atmospheric storage tank in 165, 220, or 500 gallons, sized to your system, your needs, and your space.
• Pump: As water is used throughout your home, it is pumped from the tank on demand.
• Float Switches: Positioned inside the tank, these regulate when the RO system turns on and off based on the water level.

Why a Remineralizer Matters

Reverse osmosis produces exceptionally pure water, which naturally contains no minerals and can run slightly acidic. Water with a pH below 6.4 is not recommended for human or livestock consumption, and acidic water can be hard on plumbing and fixtures over time. Added as a final treatment step, a remineralizer raises the pH and alkalinity of your water, protects your plumbing, and gives the water a fresher, cleaner taste.

If you prefer highly alkaline water, you can choose a larger remineralizer than recommended. Keep in mind that very high alkalinity can give water a taste some people find unpleasant, sometimes described as plastic, metallic, chlorine-like, or fishy.
